$Text Box: From the East Dear Brethren: Fraternal Greetings from the East! 2010 is moving along rapidly, with half of the year already history. We still have much to accomplish and July proves to be an example of the busy months ahead. Hats off to Junior Warden Jay Obeid and his crew for their efforts at our July 4th celebration. Despite the inclement weather, we had a large turnout and the food was absolutely wonderful. Most items were cooked to order and served promptly. The “Ice Cream Social” toward the end of the evening was a hit with everyone, big and small. Again, thanks to the many Brothers who worked hard and made the evening so enjoyable. Our July 15th Communication welcomes District Deputy Grand Master Wayne Hansen and his entourage for the District Deputy’s official visit to our Lodge. There is much tradition associated with this visit as we learn of the Grand Master’s plans and programs for the year. I ask everyone to make a special effort to attend this important event. Our Called Communication on July 29th is for the purpose of conferring the Fellowcraft Degree on Christopher Bouvier, Phil Caputo, and Garry Paxinos. This ceremony is a favorite of many Masons because of its teaching of morals and ethics through ceremonies and drama. Please support these candidates by attending. An Entered Apprentice Program is being considered for August. Please contact R\ H\ Steve Sagal if you would like to participate as part of the team. As you have seen in our Lodge many times in the past, different Brothers rise to present to us a story, vignette, or biographical subject related to Masons and Masonry. I invite everyone to share with us any appropriate subject, just let me know when you wish to speak. Please contact me anytime you have questions or suggestions about our Lodge and its activities.
