Dear Brethren:

I want to take the opportunity to thank all the brethren who put their faith and trust in me and the dedicated elected and officers for 2012. I am especially pleased and delighted to brothers in the line for their enthusiasm and commitment to Freemasonry.

I especially want to thank the Past Masters for their advice and guidance accorded me. Your wealth of knowledge is always eagerly solicited and appreciated by me, and you are the source of Wisdom and the Light, upon which I know, will give unerring advice and counsel. I also too, especially want to thank Worshipful John Ager. He has always endeavored to tutor and include me in activities and continues to counsel me with the best of helpful guidance and advice.

It is my intention to continue with the same traditions and directions that have been standard within our Lodge. Of special interest is the continuation and further extension and growth of the Golf Tournament, which Worshipful Ager so successfully instituted. It is a Success beyond our expectations. This summer, the proceeds of the tournament will make the dream of several underprivileged children come true. The Wayne Barton Center will be able to offer full scholarships for Summer Camp including Field Trips and food for the recipients and Boca Delray Lodge No. 171 should be extremely proud to facilitate this. Furthermore I think it is our obligation to the community to better what we have done and do even more to that end. For this reason, we will be commencing our planning and preparation for the 2012 Golf Tournament early in 2012. I solicit each and every one of you to get involved. It is amazing what we can do as a group. Not to mention the fun we had. I have the personal experience of getting to know Brother Morty Weiss as we sat on the 16^th Hole for the day and it was an unbelievable experience. I have not had so much fun in many a moon. We talked the whole time! One of the best afternoons in my life!

It will be a busy year. The new Lodge Officers are in place and ready to hit the road running. There is a surge of interest in many young men, as evidenced by them coming to us, joining for dinner and requesting petitions, so I expect continued growth this year.

I do urge every one of you to re-examine why you became a Mason. If you don’t know why, then it would be my advice that you attend the next Lodge meeting and find out WHY! If you do know why you are a Mason, then it truly behooves you to attend Lodge. After all, YOU are the lifeblood of the Lodge and without your participation, the Lodge and every one of your Brothers is poorer for your absence. Come, and become a part of the Life of the Lodge and you will not be disappointed. Have a wonderful dinner at 6:30, partake of the fellowship, friendship and Brotherhood of being a Mason.
